july recap The month of July was wild. I went ba

july recap

The month of July was wild. I went back to work. Liv really is finding her little voice and personality. Had lots of fun dinners and Sunday breakfasts. Met with friends a lot. Had our first real overnight without Liv. Took as many morning walks as I could.

Definitely still adjusting to being a working mom (I’m sure I always will be) and accepting that I don’t get as much time with Liv as I’m used to.

My postpartum anxiety is finally starting to feel more managed now that I’m taking anxiety medication. I truly wish I would’ve started earlier. My inbox is always an open and safe space to those that want to discuss!

I’m still learning to love my new body. It’s almost a feeling of imposter syndrome. The body that used to be mine has evolved completely. To everyone who responded to my pp realness story, I love you. The amount of people who said they love how much I share was amazing. I am, however, insanely excited to start daily Pilates again. My body is craving the movement.

I share all of this to show that having a baby is definitely hard, but it can also be very enjoyable. It’s the weirdest feeling ever but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Anyways, happy august! I can’t believe how fast time is going.

Just a little recap of the last 22 weeks I’ve been on leave.

Becoming a parent has been the craziest and most rewarding thing. Watching my husband become a dad has been so heartwarming. I never thought of myself of a super maternal person, and being a mom definitely didn’t come natural for me, but every day it’s getting more and more fun. Learning a hungry cry versus a sleepy cry. Watching her discover things that make her laugh. And the laughs. Baby laughs!!!!

I’m grateful to have had 5 months of maternity leave (although I wish it was longer) but we’re leaving her in great hands while we work.

4 months with Liv 🤍🫶 The sweetest girl and

4 months with Liv 🤍🫶

The sweetest girl and truly best baby. She rarely cries, sleeps through the night (hoping we don’t experience that regression lol), and loves being around others.

I go back to work next week and I’m so not excited about it. Brain fog is still so real, I have a ton of anxiety and I’m really starting to feel so bonded with her. But, have to work sooooo 🫠

Coming home to her will make it all worth it. We love you Liv you cutie poofie pie!
