Two months with Liv 🤍

Her personality is starting to shine through! She loves her beauty rest at night (we are SO thankful for this lol), only gives a cry when she’s hungry and is the sweetest little cuddler. We are so lucky to call this little girl ours 🤍

And for me, two months postpartum! I’ve finally been able to ween and returned my pump. I was a huge overproducer and would get engorged pretty frequently, so this is a huge sigh of relief. Thank you Sudafed for drying me up 😂

Postpartum life is weird. There’s so many things that happen to our bodies that aren’t shared AT ALL. I’m going to write up a blog post on this.

It’s also so amazing to see how once you have a baby, you really have an unofficial mom tribe. I’ve connected with so many mamas on Instagram that I’ve never even met in person, mamas that I know in person but haven’t talked to in forever, and even mamas in real life just walking around. It takes a village to raise a little baby and I’m so grateful to have these conversations with everyone. Know that my inbox is always open!

A biggest thank you to my husband and partner in crime @rbrenier 🤍 I couldn’t do this without you! Our little baby.

A real look into mom life at week 5: Now that it

A real look into mom life at week 5:

Now that it’s fully me at home for the next 3 months, I have to figure shit out. I’ve been so lucky to have Raymond home the first 4 weeks. I think I changed 10 diapers that entire time. Saying he’s a super dad doesn’t even begin to cut it. I love texting him little updates throughout the day because I know he wishes he was here with us so so badly. To say Olivia is a daddy’s girl is an understatement lol.

Now to the real stuff…

You feel like you’ve done everything just to feel like you’ve done nothing. It’s weird. Always some type of chore to be done. Wash bottles, pump, put baby down for a nap (if she doesn’t fight me on it first), walk the dog, laundry… the list goes on. As you can see in this photo, this room is impossible to tackle 😂

Some days are good and some days I shed tears (today is a good day, yesterday not so much). Emotions are crazy. I feel fine one second and the next I don’t. I can’t wait til I feel 100% myself again.

Olivia hasn’t been taking my breast milk so now she’s 100% formula fed, but I still have to pump so I don’t get engorged or even worse, mastitis. It’s a trip to your body when your baby won’t take your milk, but as long as she’s being fed that’s what matters.

Luckily, she’s a damn good sleeper at night. We’ve only had one sleepless night (knock on wood) so that’s been a huge help. I’m working on getting her to sleep that good during the day. We’ll see lol.

I showed the good and bad of my pregnancy (mostly good thank god) but have to show you the realness of being a mom, especially once dad goes back to work.

I’m kind of transitioning my content to show that you can be a mom but also still be yourself. Figuring that all out these first few weeks is so difficult. I know I’ll get there eventually once this little girl has more of a routine down. I can’t wait to post clothing hauls, more skin tutorials, and just life.

So, check in on your first time mamas. Send a text and just ask how they’re doing. Come over and give them company. Even if it’s for 30 minutes, I promise it will mean the world.

Our sweet and sassy girl (don’t know who she would get that from…) has already been with us for a month! She loves her bottle, naps and sleeping in daddy’s arms. Her sister, Lola, loves to follow her every single place she goes too!

We love this baby girl more than anything!
